Shotgun Bungalow

Picture
The traditional "shotgun bungalow" has a single room width and multi-room depth, with no hallways and an entrance and exit at either end. This layout permits excellent cross-ventilation along the length of the house, which helps to combat the hot Southwestern climate. Houses like this received the name "shotgun" because if a bullet was shot through the front door, it could travel the entire length of the house and leave through the back door without hitting any interior walls. This cozy bungalow was built in the 1930s, originally to house visitors of patients with respiratory ailments at the nearby St. Luke's Sanitarium.

Today, the house is newly renovated and decorated and has everything you need for a pleasant stay:
-Queen bed
-Single pull out in couch in living room
-Well equipped kitchen, stove, microwave, coffeemaker, pots pans dishes, everything you need to make wonderful meal
